The 59th traditional National Prayer Breakfast saw the participation of President Barack Obama, as well as numerous congressmen, high officials and representatives of the diplomatic corps from more than 130 countries. This gathering represents a unique opportunity for the world leaders to contribute in the spirit of friendship to a greater mutual understanding and the strengthening of global relations.
The National Prayer Breakfast has been held in Washington on the first Thursday of February since President Eisenhower, 1953. It is designed to be a forum for political, social and business leaders of the world to come together and further improve mutual relations.
