Mediterraneo – A Sea that Unites 24th January – 25th March 2008 Italian Institute in London The Italian Cultural Institute in co-operation with the representatives of the Mediterranean countries in London organised the exhibition “Mediterraneo – A Sea that Unites” with contributions from the artists from Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Montenegro, Egypt, France, Greece, Croatia, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Slovenia, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey.

Mediterraneo – A Sea that Unites 24th January – 25th March 2008 Italian Institute in London The Italian Cultural Institute in co-operation with the representatives of the Mediterranean countries in London organised the exhibition “Mediterraneo – A Sea that Unites” with contributions from the artists from Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Montenegro, Egypt, France, Greece, Croatia, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Slovenia, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey. The authors of the exhibition are Dr Rosanna Pittelli, art historian and counsellor at the Italian Institute in London and Gabriele Magnani, art critic and the London correspondent of the magazine AD Italia. An interesting choice of artists coming from three continents and belonging to different generations offered their view of the Mediterranean through various media, from classical painting techniques, sculptures, photography to installations, digital and experimental works. Croatia was represented by Duško šibl with a painting “Blue Lagoon”, acrylic on canvas, 90x120 cm.
