"Isle of God" an exhibition by Arati Reddy-Devlin and John Holder

„Isle of God“ – an exhibition of paintings by Arati Reddy – Devlin and John Holder Two British artists, Arati Reddy Devlin and John Holder, are the authors of an exhibition that opened at the Croatian Embassy in London on 16th January 2007. Arati Reddy Devlin and John Holders have been visiting the island of šipan in Croatia for years and have found its scenery inspirational. Also present at the private view was writer Andrew Smith. He was signing copies of his novel Caesar's Passage – also set in šipan.

Arati Reddy Devlin and John Holders have been visiting the island of šipan in Croatia for years and have found its scenery inspirational. Also present at the private view was writer Andrew Smith. He was signing copies of his novel Caesar's Passage – also set in šipan. Arati Reddy-Devlin has shown 27 paintings, done in different techniques but inspired by the same subject – the scenery of šipan. Some of them will be used to illustrate a book she has almost finished writing about children's adventures on the island. John Holder is a respected painter, well known as a drawer and illustrator for numerous publications around the world. He has been visiting Dubrovnik and šipan for years and has found them a huge source of inspiration for his drawings and watercolours.
