Croatian and British representatives of the wood processing industry meet at the Croatian Embassy

Croatian Embassy in London and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce in Zagreb were the joint organisers of the meeting of the representatives of the Croatian wood-processing industry and their British partners held at the Embassy on 24th September 2004.

CROATIAN AND BRITISH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE WOOD-PROCESSING INDUSTRY MEET AT THE CROATIAN EMBASSY Croatian Embassy in London and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce in Zagreb were the joint organisers of the meeting of the representatives of the Croatian wood-processing industry and their British partners held at the Embassy on 24th September 2004. On the Croatian side the participants included Mr Josip Bartolcic, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Mr Milan Jakopovic, from the Croatian Chamber of Commerce in Zagreb as well as representatives of the following Croatian companies: Buje-Export, Exportdrvo, Slavonija DI, Spacva d.d., PPS Galekovic, Požgaj d.o.o. Ten British companies accepted the invitation to attend the presentation, including the well-known international group Kingfisher, one of the largest importers of wood products Timbmet as well as representatives of the Woodmark programme in the Soil Association from Bristol. The event was intended as a series of one-to-one meetings between Croatian exporters and British importers. The representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management made some interesting and useful contacts with a view of further developing the co-operation of the Croatian and British wood-processing companies.
