The first Finnish-Croatian Nano-science Summer School held in Dubrovnik Following the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Helsinki to strengthen the Croatian-Finnish cooperation in the field of high technologies, the first summer school organized by the Nanotechnology Institute Ruder Boskovic Institute, Finnish Nano-science Centre the University of Jyväskylä has been held in Dubrovnik from 19-23. September 2010.

The first Finnish-Croatian Nano-science Summer School held in Dubrovnik Following the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Helsinki to strengthen the Croatian-Finnish cooperation in the field of high technologies, the first summer school organized by the Nanotechnology Institute Ruder Boskovic Institute, Finnish Nano-science Centre the University of Jyväskylä has been held in Dubrovnik from 19-23. September 2010. The school gathered over 60 students of doctoral studies in the field of nano-science from a total of 12 countries as well as the leading European scientists and professors in this field. In his opening speech, Croatian Ambassador to Finland Dr. Damir Kušen expressed his satisfaction and the importance of further cooperation between Croatia and Finland in the integration of science and high technology industry. The science and technology roundtable with emphasis on potentials of nano-science and nanotechnology in the economic development of the country has been also organized in Dubrovnik. The round table brought together fifty scholars, businessmen and journalists.
