Promotion of the Republic of Croatia and Croatian tourism at the Holiday World Show in Dublin

The largest tourist fair in Ireland, the Holiday World Show, was held in Dublin 26-28 January, 2024. Croatia was represented by the Croatian Tourist Board, the Dubrovnik and Neretva Tourist Board, Split and Dalmatia County Tourist Boards, and the Dubrovnik Tourist Board. Also, representatives of the travel agency "Croatia Tours" from Dublin, the first Irish travel agency specializing in the organization of trips to Croatia and Međugorje, were guests at the fair.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in Ireland, Davor Vidiš, visited Croatian representatives on the first day of the fair, when a reception for diplomatic representatives was also organized. Additionally, Ambassador Vidiš promoted Croatia as a tourist destination on Radio Sunshine. In an interview he stated that there are increasing number of tourists from Ireland in Croatia and they are staying longer in their visit every year. He also emphasized that he hopes that due to the excellent connection between Croatia and Ireland, there will be more Irish tourists in the coming years, highlighting natural beauty, historical heritage, gastronomy and culture as the main assets that attract Irish tourists to Croatia.
