On Sunday, 13th November 2011, the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Ireland participated in the traditional, 6th International Charity Bazaar Dublin – ICBD, which was, organised by the diplomatic corps in Ireland and volunteers of Ireland and held at premises of the hotel ''Burlington'' in Dublin. The International Charity Bazaar Dublin has been organised annually since 2006 and its proceeds are donated to charities and non-governmental organisations resident in Ireland, primarily those ones which support education, women's and children's health, as well as assist in cases of natural disasters.
This year, the participating diplomatic missions obtained proceeds by selling traditional food, beverages, artwork, jewellery and souvenirs representative in relation to the culture and the way of life of their respective countries. The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Dublin sold Croatian chocolates and bonbons on its stand and offered two ICBD raffle prizes that were obtained thanks to assistance provided by the Croatian Tourist Board in London: a two day stay for two persons at the ‘'Pinija“ hotel in Petrcane, Croatia and a cravat by the renowned Croatian cravat producer ‘'Croata“. Numerous visitors expressed interest in Croatia as a tourist destination and were provided with information and various Croatian Tourist Board brochures on Croatia by the Croatian Embassy staff.
