To mark the closing of accession negotiations of the Republic of Croatia with the European Union and the forthcoming signature of the Accession Treaty of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union, a cello recital by the renowned Croatian cellist, Ms Monika Leskovar was organised on 22nd November 2011 at the National Concert Hall in Dublin. Ms Leskovar was accompanied by pianist Ms Ivana švarc Grenda.

Representatives of Irish political, cultural and business community, as well as the diplomatic corps attended the recital.
Prior to the beginning of the recital, the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia, H.E. Ms Jasna Ognjanovac greeted the guests and thanked EU member states for their support throughout six years of accession negotiations on Croatia's EU membership and especially thanked Ireland on its continued support and cooperation, whereby she expressed hope in its continuation during the future partnership in the common EU membership.
The exceptional talent and virtuosity of the world renowned cellist was recognized by the audience and many guests congratulated the artists personally after the recital.
