Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman participated on Thursday, 9 October 2025, in the meeting of foreign ministers of the Berlin Process participating states, held in Northern Ireland.

The meeting was hosted by the UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Yvette Cooper. Participants discussed issues of European security, regional and European integration, and reconciliation.

In his address, Grlić Radman underlined the importance of lasting reconciliation as a key prerequisite for the stability of Southeast Europe, emphasizing the need to intensify efforts to achieve it.

“Issues stemming from the past and the legacy of war must be fully resolved. This includes addressing the remaining cases of missing persons and engaging in meaningful cooperation in the prosecution of war crimes, without discrimination and in accordance with international standards,” he said.

The minister reaffirmed that Croatia “remains committed to constructive dialogue with its neighbours, with the aim of resolving all outstanding issues on the basis of mutual respect and international law.” He further emphasized that “it is essential to uphold the Dayton Peace Agreement in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly by ensuring the equality of Croats as one of the three constituent peoples.”

The meeting of foreign ministers within the Berlin Process forms part of the concluding events of the United Kingdom’s presidency. The summit of heads of state and government of the Berlin Process will be held on 22 October 2025 in London.
