Croatian Ambassador to Sweden Svjetlan Berković handed his credentials to Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus, officially assuming the duty of the Croatian ambassador to the Republic of Lithuania

Croatian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden, Svjetlan Berković, handed 19 October 2005 in Vilnius his credentials to Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus, officially assuming the duty of the Croatian ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Lithuania

Afterwards, Ambassador Berković met with Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Brazauskas, Parliament’s President Arturas Paulauskas, Foreign Minister Antanas Valionis, and other high state officials.

In friendly and open talks, both sides concluded that the bilateral co-operation between Croatia and Lithuania is successful in all areas, and the Lithuanian side reiterated its full support to Croatia’s membership in the Euro-Atlantic integration.
