The Latvian Parliament ratified the Protocol on the Enlargement of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to Croatia today, on 18 September 2008
This makes the Parliament of the Republic of Latvia the second national parliament out of 26 NATO member countries to have completed the Protocol ratification process.
The Parliament’s decision has to be approved by the Latvian President Valdis Zatlers within 10 days.
