State Secretary Kuprešak presented in short Croatia’s progress in realising its first two foreign-policy priorities: full EU and NATO membership. He pointed out that Croatia, as a part of the European community, as well as from the aspect of a non-permanent Security Council member, will continue to give its full contribution to the stabilisation and establishment of peace, both in this part of Europe and globally.

After the Croatian side expressed its willingness to transfer Croatia’s experience in the EU membership negotiations, Deputy Minister Ostalep pointed out it is very welcome and showed special interest for Croatia’s negotiating structure and the overall negotiations process.

The meeting’s topics also covered the current situation in Georgia, state of affairs in South Eastern Europe, regional co-operation, and an area with the possibility of further development – the bilateral trade.
