State Secretary Željko Kuprešak participated in 5th EU-LAC Summit in Lima, Peru

The Summit saw the participation of 60-odd heads of state and government from Latin America, the Caribbean, and the EU. State Secretary Kuprešak, as the head of the delegation of the Republic of Croatia, an EU membership candidate, participated in the plenary session on the occasion of the Summit’s opening and closing. Themed “Addressing Our Peoples’ Priorities Together”, the Summit discussed poverty, inequality, social inclusion, sustainable development, environmental protection, climate change, and energy. The heads of state and government, through the highest-level political dialogue, analyzed the results achieved within the EU-LAC strategic partnership and expressed a unilateral support for the continuation of co-operation.
