State Secretary for Political Affairs Zdravka Bušić 3 October 2018 received on inaugural visit Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to the Republic of Croatia Emilija Georgieva.
The two officials underscored Croatia and Switzerland’s very good political relations. The talks focused on the strengthening of bilateral ties, with Georgieva expressing wish for the highest-level Croatian delegation’s visit to Switzerland. The ambassador underlined the well-integrated Croatian community in Switzerland as additional link in the two countries’ relations.
Bušić and Georgieva also discussed the status of Protocol III, the financial contribution of the Swiss-Croatian cooperation program to the reduction of economic and social inequalities within the enlarged EU as well as the prospects of continued advancement of cooperation.
Bušić welcomed the Swiss ambassador, expressing wish that during her term of office Croatia and Switzerland strengthen their ties even further, notably in economy.
