State Secretary for Political Affairs Zdravka Bušić 9 October 2018 received on inaugural visit the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Croatia, Nasser bin Hamad al-Khalifa.
The state secretary welcomed the ambassador, expressing conviction that Croatia and Qatar would not only maintain but also advance the already close and friendly relations.
Al-Khalifa said he wished the relations to develop further, notably in economy. Qatar considers Croatia a great economic potential and is interested in investment and joint projects in a number of areas, citing the prospects of healthcare, pharmacy, transport, shipbuilding, ports, tourism and food industry.
