State Secretary Pejčinović Burić held lecture to attendees of 9th One-Year Expert Diplomatic Study
State Secretary for European Integration at MFAEI Marija Pejčinović Burić held a lecture on Friday, 19 May 2006, entitled Croatia on the Way to the European Union to the attendees of the 9th One-Year Expert Diplomatic Study at the MFAEI Diplomatic Academy
State Secretary Pejčinović Burić spoke about the chronology of the Croatian-EU relations, the setting up of the contractual relations, and the full-membership negotiations process. In that regard she explained the importance of the pre-accession assistance for the candidate countries, presented Croatia’s negotiating structure, and reviewed the course of the screening process.
Attendees of the One-Year Expert Diplomatic Study have lectures on the Croatian history, political system, international relations and policy, European integration and NATO, diplomacy and diplomatic skills, diplomatic protocol, international and diplomatic-consular law, and other subjects concerning the functioning of diplomacy.
