State Secretary Andreja Metelko-Zgombić 10 October 2019 held talks with Jaroslaw Pietras, the Director-General for DG TREE of the General Secretariat of the EU Council (GSC),

State Secretary Andreja Metelko-Zgombić 10 October 2019 held talks with Jaroslaw Pietras, the Director-General for DG TREE of the General Secretariat of the EU Council (GSC), covering Environment, Education, Transport, Energy, Sport, Youth and Culture.

During his visit to Zagreb, which the GSC standardly organized ahead of chairmanship, Pietras held meetings at all of the state administration bodies in charge of his areas. The talks revolved around preparations for chairmanship, expectations from Croatia and issued that will be topical during its chairmanship. Voicing satisfaction with Croatia’s overall preparedness, Pietras underlined that chairmanship represented a big challenge for any member state. He offered practical advice and underscored that Croatia can count on the GSC during chairmanship.
