State Secretary for European Affairs Andreja Metelko-Zgombić 7 March 2019 holed talks with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Matthew Palmer.
The two officials discussed bilateral topics of mutual interest. Metelko-Zgombić underlined the issue of US visas for Croatian citizens, the need to sign a double taxation avoidance agreement and the Krk LNG terminal.
Metelko-Zgombić informed Palmer about Croatia’s preparations for and priorities of the Council of the EU presidency. The two officials exchanged views on the situation in Southeast Europe.
Palmer also met with Assistant Minister for Political Affairs Vice Skračić and Assistant Minister for Southeast Europe and Enlargement Miroslav Papa. The collocutors discussed the US-Croatia bilateral relations and the state of affairs in Southeast Europe.
