State Secretary Lucić meets with representatives of TBMM’s EU Harmonization Committee

State Secretary for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Zdenko Lucić on Tuesday met with representatives of the EU Harmonization Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, headed by Committee Chairman Mehmet Kasim Gülpinar.
 
Lucić once again thanked Turkey for its assistance in the wake of the December 2020 earthquakes in Croatia. He also underscored good economic relations, as evidenced by the increase in last year’s trade by 36% against 2020 and the overall Turkish investments in Croatia.
 
The Turkish side said that EU membership remained Turkey’s foreign policy priority, while the Croatian side briefly outlined Croatia’s experiences with the accession process. The officials also reflected on the war in Ukraine and the situation in the Western Balkans.
