State Secretary for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Zdenko Lucić 12-14 December in Paris attended the OECD Eurasia Week, the regular ministerial-level meeting of the OECD Eurasia Competitiveness Programme.

Speaking at a plenary session on Resilience and Recovery: Overcoming the Shocks of Pandemic and War, Lucić underscored the importance of consolidating cooperation both within the OECD and the EU as well as bilaterally in order to tackle the present-day global challenges. The state secretary pointed out Croatia’s achievements since the gaining of independence, including the recent entry into the Schengen Area and the eurozone, as well as the ongoing OECD accession. He also highlighted all of the reforms implemented to that end, which have resulted in a stable economic growth and Croatia’s transition from a recipient to a donor of humanitarian and development aid.

In the context of cooperation with the countries of Eurasia and the Eastern Partnership, Lucić underlined Croatia’s cooperation under the OECD-Ukraine Country Programme as well as the Digital and Green Transition Project for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the Western Balkans.
