State Secretary Lucić attends medal awarding by State Emergency Service of Ukraine

State Secretary for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Zdenko Lucić on Tuesday attended a medal awarding ceremony by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) to members of the Croatian emergency services

State Secretary for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Zdenko Lucić on Tuesday attended a medal awarding ceremony by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) to members of the Croatian emergency services.

SES representatives awarded medals to members of the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service, Earthquake Engineering Center, Red Cross and fire brigades in recognition of their work.

Addressing the event, Lucić thanked the Ukrainian Government, SES and the Ukrainian Embassy for this initiative and for the USD 700,000 worth of aid sent to Croatia for relief efforts after the earthquake of December 2020. Underscoring the importance of the Croatian emergency services, Lucić said: “These medals go to all emergency service members. The Croatian Mountain Rescue Service, Earthquake Engineering Center, Red Cross and fire brigades played a vital role in the relief efforts in Sisak-Moslavina, Karlovac and Zagreb counties.”
