State Secretary Lucić attends FAC Trade

State Secretary for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Zdenko Lucić on Friday in Luxembourg attended a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council (Trade).
 
Ministers discussed preparations for the 12th World Trade Organization ministerial conference (CM12), which will take place in Geneva 12-15 June 2022. Lucić underscored the importance of the conference in terms of reaffirming the role of the WTO and the multilateral trade system, especially in light of the current geopolitical challenges.
 
European Trade Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis reported on the results of the 2nd ministerial meeting of the EU-US Trade and Technology Council, held 16 May 2022 in Paris. Ministers also discussed trade relations with China and exchanged views on the status of other bilateral talks as well as the implementation of extant trade agreements.
