The collocutors described the bilateral relations as very good and friendly, emphasizing the need for strengthening the economic cooperation in general, as it holds vast possibilities, especially in energy, tourism, and trade.

Director General Marsudi met with State Secretary Božinović in regard to opening the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Zagreb, to be completed by the end of the year. State Secretary Božinović expressed satisfaction with the Croatian Government’s decision to open a residential embassy in Zagreb, which will greatly benefit the strengthening of the two countries’ bilateral relations. The meeting also discussed the possibilities of cooperation in culture and multicultural dialogue, such as the World Peace Gong initiative, which could spread onto the concrete projects in Croatia as well.

Director General Marsudi presented in short the foreign-policy priorities of the Indonesian Government. State Secretary Božinović informed her about the progress of Croatia’s EU accession negotiations and explained Croatia’s view on the state of affairs in the region, with a special emphasis with the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice on the status of Kosovo.
