State Secretary Davor Božinović received Danish MFA Undersecretary of State for European Integration Kim Jorgensen

Thanking for the overall support the Kingdom of Denmark is extending the Republic of Croatia on its road to the EU and NATO, State Secretary Božinović informed his collocutor about the current state of Croatia’s EU negotiations and NATO accession.

Undersecretary of State Jorgensen expressed understanding for Croatia’s concern over Slovenia’s current blockade.

State Secretary Božinović explained Croatia’s position that the border dispute with Slovenia is a bilateral issue and as such should not interfere with the EU negotiations. Undersecretary of State Jorgensen said Denmark had had a similar outstanding border issues with its neighbours, which had been solved either bilaterally or at the International Court of Justice, but had been separated the whole time from all of the EU issues.
