State Secretary Davor Božinović opened at RACVIAC center in Rakitje workshop on cluster munitions

“After Oslo 2008: A Workshop on Cluster Munitions” is the second workshop in a row organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and the Center for Security Cooperation – RACVIAC. It is also the first workshop on the topic since the signing of the Convention on Cluster Munitions in Oslo 2008. The workshop gathered participants from 30 or so countries and international organization in order to familiarize them with the details of the Convention, and the different aspects of the cluster munitions issue.

In his opening speech, State Secretary Božinović pointed out Croatia’s dedication to the protection of civilians in armed conflicts and other humanitarian issues, which Croatia had also proven by ratifying the Convention six months after its signing.
