State Secretary Davor Božinović met with Political Director at Polish MFA Witold Sobkow

State Secretary Božinović informed him about the current state of Croatia’s EU negotiations.

Political Director Sobkow expressed hope that Croatia would complete the negotiations soon and become an EU member. Regarding Slovenia’s veto, he said Poland had had outstanding border issues with its neighbours for a long time, explaining Poland’s position that bilateral issues should be separated from the accession negotiations.

The two also talked about their countries’ experience with the technical part of the negotiations, with an emphasis on Poland’s experience with the shipbuilding and agricultural reform.
