State Secretary Bakota received delegation of the Principality of Monaco

State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gordan Bakota received today, 15 November 2004 in Zagreb, a delegation of the Principality of Monaco led by Secretary General of Foreign Relations Claude Giordan and Head of the Office for International Co-operation Frederic Platini

State Secretary Bakota thanked for Monaco’s support in mine clearance of protected areas and numerous environment protection programs in Croatia that Monaco has been financing since 2000. State Secretary Bakota asked Monaco’s support in Croatia’s candidacy for a non-permanent UN Security Council member 2008/2009.

The high officials presented to State Secretary Bakota the organisation of Monaco’s state administration, as well as the sector agreements which Monaco is signing with the EU, as it is in a monetary and customs union with France.

It was agreed that an official invitation be sent to Prince Albert of Monaco to visit the Republic of Croatia.
