State Secretary Bakota opened the Seminar on Croatia for Bavarian state officials

State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and Co-Chair of the Permanent Croatian-Bavarian Commission Gordan Bakota opened today, 28 February 2005, at the Diplomatic Academy in Zagreb, a Seminar on Croatia meant for the state officials of Germany’s county, the Free State of Bavaria

Besides Bakota, secretary of the German part of the Permanent Commission Hans Mayer also held a speech at the opening of the Seminar. The Seminar will last for five days and features 15 Bavarian highest state officials.

As a part of the Seminar, the Bavarian guests will visit the Croatian parliament, where they will be received by its Vice-President Luka Bebić, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Croatian Chamber of Commerce, City Government of the City of Zagreb, Croatian History Museum, and the Hanns Seidel Trust.

Lecturers at the Seminar include State Secretary for Political Affairs Hido Biščević, who will speak about Croatia’s socio-political structure, current political situation and priorities of Croatia’s foreign policy, prof. Neven Budak, who will lecture on Croatia’s history, in view of the current situation, and experts from the Central State Administration Office.
