State Secretary for Political Affairs Zdravka Bušić attended a ministerial meeting of the Partnership Commission of the US-Adriatic Charter.

The meeting discussed the Charter’s contribution to the stability and security of Southeast Europe, underlining its importance in aiding the Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Southeast European countries. The United States’ constant support and assistance remains a crucial factor.

Zdravka Bušić stressed the importance of continuing NATO’s open door policy as well as Croatia’s support for the EU and Euro-Atlantic integration of Southeast European countries as the key for stability and security. Croatia applauds North Macedonia’s pending NATO membership and is hopeful about the speeding up of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s EU and Euro-Atlantic journey. The meeting adopted a joint declaration, outlining the achievements of Albania’s 2019 Charter presidency, to be taken over in 2020 by Bosnia and Herzegovina.
