State Secretary at the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gordan Bakota, accompanied by Ambassador Drago Kraljević, opened today, 3 March 2004, the Croatian Consulate to Bari, to be headed by the Honorary Consul Rosa Alo
State Secretary Bakota and the Croatian delegation were received by President of Puglia region Marcello Vernola, who expressed his satisfaction with the extension and continuation of the economic and cultural co-operation between Croatia and Italy.
The ceremony held on the occasion of the opening of consulate saw guests from the Italian Police and Ministry of Defence, representatives of the Diplomatic Corps, emissary of the University of Bari, and numerous other distinguished persons from political and cultural life of the city and region.
