State Secretary and appointed RCC Secretary General Hido Biščević participated in ministerial conference on information society development in SEE

State Secretary for Political Affairs and appointed Secretary General of the Regional Co-operation Council (RCC) Hido Biščević participated in the ministerial conference on information society development in South Eastern Europe, held on 29 October 2007 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The conference was organised with the aim of adopting a new regional action plan for the development of information society in South Eastern Europe for the 2007-2012 period, exchanging experiences, and generally promoting the importance of said sector.

State Secretary and appointed RCC Secretary General Biščević supported the SEE governments’ efforts to strengthen the information society and e-projects with the aim of developing an economic knowledge model as the fastest way to overcome the developmental gap in society.

The conference was hosted by the Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Communications and Transport, and co-organised by the European Commission’s Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, UN Development Program and Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe.
