State secretaries Matušić, Metelko-Zgombić meet with Chair of Georgian Parliament’s EU Integration Committee Botchorishvili

State Secretary for Political Affairs Frano Matušić and State Secretary for Europe Andreja Metelko-Zgombić on Wednesday met with Chair of Georgian Parliament’s EU Integration Committee Maka Botchorishvili.
 
The officials reaffirmed the very good and friendly bilateral relations, underscoring the importance of their continued strengthening as well as the intensification of all-level contacts.
 
Other topics included the status of EU-Georgia relations, Georgia’s membership application and the implementation of the Association Agreement. Also considered was the possibility of transferring Croatia’s knowledge and experiences from the accession talks and the implementation of relevant reforms. It was reiterated that Croatia supported Georgia’s European aspirations, as well as those of Ukraine and Moldova.
 
In addition, the officials discussed regional security and stability, as well as the importance of continued political, economic and material support. The Croatian side reaffirmed support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for its European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
