Ambassador of Serbia and Montenegro to Croatia, Radivoj Cvetićanin, handed 6 June 2006 notes to Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, in which the Serbian MFA states that the Serbian National Assembly reached a decision on the Republic of Serbia being the successor of the international subjectivity of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro
Ambassador Cvetićanin handed the notes about the continuation of the diplomatic relations of the SMN Embassy as of 6 June 2006, which will continue its activities under the name of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Croatia, while the SMN Consulate General in Rijeka will change its name to the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia
