Second meeting with Croatian businessmen was held at the Croatian Foreign Ministry...

On Monday, 29 December 2003, the second meeting with Croatian businessmen was held at the Croatian Foreign Ministry. There was a large response of businessmen with a view to collecting and forwarding aid to victims of earthquake in Iran.

During the meeting, logistic issues and details on forwarding aid were agreed. The first shipment, to be sent on Wednesday, 31 December 2003 by Croatia Airlines aeroplane, will include sanitary material, food and tents.

Citizens may forward their donations to the warehouse of the Croatian Red Cross, at the facilities of INA-OKI, Žitnjak b.b. every day (except on 31 December and 1 January) from 12:00 - 18:00 hours. Other locations for collecting donations are at the Croatian Red Cross Offices in Zagreb at the following addresses:

• Trg Dragutina Domjanića 6/2, Sesvete
• Park Prijateljstva 1, Jarun
• Dubravkin trg 11, Trnje
• Remetinečka cesta 60, Novi Zagreb.

Citizens are kindly requested not to bring drugs and food, but cloths, blankets, tents and sleeping bags.
