Regarding numerous inquiries about safety of traveling to Italy

The Croatian Embassy in Rome is in constant contact with the relevant central and local Italian institutions, and is regularly informing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration about the situation

The Croatian Embassy in Rome is in constant contact with the relevant central and local Italian institutions, and is regularly informing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration about the situation.

In that regard, the Ministry would like to report that there are no recommendations by the Italian authorities that would advise against traveling to Rome or other Italian regions, except, of course, to the parts of the Abruzzo Region struck by the earthquake.

It is also recommended that roadways passing through the affected areas not be used. According to the Italian service monitoring the road situation (CIS), certain parts of the highway A24 are closed for all vehicles and parts of the A25 for trucks only. Detailed information can be obtained at 0039 06 43632121 (English language) and 0039 06 1518 (Italian).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration will continue to observe the situation and inform the Croatian public in a timely manner.
