Referendum irresponsible, unacceptable and unconstitutional

As a signatory to the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia considers Sunday’s referendum in the entity of Republika Srpska unacceptable and in contravention of BiH Constitutional Court’s decision

As a signatory to the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia considers Sunday’s referendum in the entity of Republika Srpska unacceptable and in contravention of BiH Constitutional Court’s decision.

It is an irresponsible act that has the potential to destabilise Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as a wider area of Southeast Europe.  

Croatia advocates the viability, unity, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in which all three nations are constituent and equal.

Croatia guarantees Croats in BiH care and protection based on its Constitution.

Croatia strongly supports and assists Bosnia and Herzegovina’s EU accession. It is the best guarantee of a lasting and sustainable stability and prosperity of the country.
