Pusić thanked Foley for his cooperation and contribution to the advancement of the two countries’ bilateral relations.

The two officials agreed that Croatia’s participation in peacekeeping missions strongly contributed to peace and stability, namely the ISAF mission in Afghanistan.

Also discussed were regional issues, with the two officials concurring that the reforms implemented as part of the Euro-Atlantic integration contributed to the stability of the region and highlighting the importance of their continuation.

Pusić added that Croatia’s interests lied in the development and stabilization of not only the region but the Southern Mediterranean as well, which was discussed at the recently held Croatia Summit in Dubrovnik.
