Pusić met with Kosovo's Deputy Prime Minister Edita Tahiri

Pusić and Tahiri expressed satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relations and continued political dialogue between Croatia and Kosovo

Pusić and Tahiri expressed satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relations and continued political dialogue between Croatia and Kosovo, as well as the intensity of high-level visits.

Pusić said Croatia was ready to share its experience from the Euro-Atlantic integration process with all the countries in the region, including Kosovo, and thus support their efforts to join the European and Euro-Atlantic integration. She added that Croatia supported Kosovo’s participation in regional initiatives and international organizations.

Kosovo’s deputy prime minister thanked the Croatian minister for the support and congratulated Croatia on its achievements in the European integration process. She said Kosovo considered Croatia the region’s leader in the common Euro-Atlantic vision.

Applauding the continued dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Pusić stressed that Croatia would continue to lobby for Kosovo’s institutional linkage with the EU.

The two officials agreed that their countries’ relations could be further advanced by strengthening the economic cooperation, particularly in energy and infrastructure, and preparing for the economic cooperation following Croatia’s EU entry.

Also discussed was the status of the Croats in Kosovo, as well as the launch of Albanian studies at one of the Croatian universities and of Croatian studies at the University of Pristina.

As part of her official visit to Croatia, Deputy Prime Minister Tahiri will deliver a lecture at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs on “Kosovo: Democratic State-Building and Euro-Atlantic Integration”.
