Pusić meets incoming Montenegrin Ambassador Igor Građević

Pusić welcomed Građević and said the upcoming period was important for Montenegro in light of its path to the Euro-Atlantic integration

Pusić welcomed Građević and said the upcoming period was important for Montenegro in light of its path to the Euro-Atlantic integration.

Građević expressed satisfaction with the past cooperation between Croatia and Montenegro, confirming the willingness to further advance the political dialogue. He thanked for all the forms of assistance Croatia was offering Montenegro along its road to the European Union and NATO.

The minister said Croatia would continue to support Montenegro, stressing that the main goal of both countries was to take responsibility for themselves, which is a precondition for the long-term security and stability of the region.

Both officials voiced interest to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation by signing several agreements that are being drafted. Pusić showed Građević the draft of the Agreement between the Republic of Croatia and Montenegro on Euro-Atlantic Partnership. Said agreement, as an expression of a higher level of the two countries’ cooperation, is scheduled to be signed by Pusić and Montenegrin Foreign Minister Milan Roćen during her official visit to Podgorica next month.

Pusić once again invited Roćen and Montenegrin Prime Minister Igor Lukšić to attend the Croatia Summit, slated for July in Dubrovnik.
