Pusić attended meeting of EU Foreign Affairs Council

The meeting was chaired by High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton and discussed the situation in Afghanistan in light of preparations for the Chicago NATO Summit

The meeting was chaired by High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton and discussed the situation in Afghanistan in light of preparations for the Chicago NATO Summit. The discussion focused on contributing to Afghan security forces, regional cooperation with Afghanistan’s neighbours and development cooperation programmes.

The Council reviewed the Middle East peace process, as well as the state of affairs in the Southern Neighbourhood, namely Syria and Libya.

Also discussed were the upcoming summits EU-Russia (3 June) and EU-Mexico (17 June), as well as the relations between the Union and Ukraine.
