The ministry this year too is marking Europe Week, starting 3 May, with a series of events and activities, in accordance with the longstanding tradition and in cooperation with the EU Delegation and embassies of the EU members.

Europe Week is part of the intensive informative activities to familiarize the Croatian public with the possibilities and challenges of EU membership, and is being marked in towns and counties throughout Croatia.

The traditional central event will be held 5 May in Cvjetni Square in Zagreb, where citizens will be able to ask questions about EU accession. On Friday 4 May the EU Delegation is organizing a concert on Bundek Lake in Zagreb, entitled “The Rhythm of Europe”.

Pusić 7 May will attend the opening of the “European Days” project at the Zagreb Faculty of Economy, the central event in Varaždin entitled “Europe in the Heart of the Varaždin County”, and the public debate on “Croatia, the New EU Member” in Čakovec. On 8 May, Pusićis to deliver a lecture as part of the ministry’s Open Door Project and attend the marking of Europe Days in Split.

During Europe Week, lectures will be held in all county seats and many other towns on the possibilities offered by the membership, as well as public debates on accession. Information will also be presented in a fun way through quizzes, performances and art workshops for children and so forth. All of the events will be covered by the local media. Free publications on Croatia’s EU accession will be available at 129 Euro-info points throughout Croatia and at all of the events in the counties.

Europe Week is being organized in cooperation with the partners – county councils for European integration, public administration bodies, the EU Delegation, EU members’ embassies, NGOs, schools and faculties.
