The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration has acknowledged the news about the execution of the court sentence on Saddam Hussein, although the Republic of Croatia’s legislature does not contain capital punishment.

The final court judgement was reached in accordance with the valid Iraqi legislature.

The Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration hopes that this event will not lead to unrest or further destabilisation of the situation in Iraq.
