The meeting was led by the head of the Croatian part of the Permanent Croatian-Bavarian Commission Hido Biščević, State Secretary at the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
State Secretary Biščević stressed the importance of the Permanent Croatian-Bavarian Commission which, apart from being a vital part of the bilateral relations with Germany, constitutes an instrument for the institutional strengthening of Croatia's relations with the EU. State Secretary Biščević also pointed out that the realisation of the Commission's most important projects - the building of Zagreb-Maribor highway and Danube-Sava channel, co-operation in tourism and agriculture, upgrading of public administration and the “E-Croatia” project - facilitates the implementation of the government's program and at the same time unburdens the state budget.
