Preparations for Crans Montana Forum in Zagreb announced for April 2005

Assistant foreign minister for international economic co-operation David Sopta, Head of the Organisation Committee for the preparation of the Crans Montana Forum in Zagreb Jean-Paul Carteron, and member of the Forum’s administration, former secretary general of the Council of Europe Walter Schwimmer held today, 24 January 2005, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Zagreb, a press conference at which they announced that the Crans Montana Forum will be held mid-April

Pursuant to the agreement signed on behalf of the Croatian Government by Foreign Minister Miomir Žužul and the president and founder of the Crans Montana Forum Jean-Paul Carter in October last year, Sopta, Carteron and Schwimmer confirmed today that Crans Montana Forum entitled “European Perspectives and Regional Co-operation” will be held in Zagreb, 13-15 April 2005.

Heads of government, guest and high officials from the region will be invited to the Zagreb Crans Montana Forum. A large response is expected from the business community as well. Switzerland’s Crans Montana Forum has been gathering the leading world’s politicians and businessmen for the past 15 years. Organised for the first time in one of the countries in the region, Croatia, the Zagreb Forum will discuss the issues of interest not only to Croatia, but the world public as well – global and regional co-operation, EU enlargement, stability in the region, promotion of democracy, and economy.
