Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski 19 December 2012 signed a document completing the process of Croatia’s EU Accession Treaty ratification in Poland. To mark the occasion, the presidential residence Belweder in Warsaw hosted a ceremony that saw the attendance of, among others, ambassadors of the EU member states and officials from the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. President Komorowski underlined the importance of Croatia’s joining the EU, saying that his signature was a confirmation of not only Croatia’s readiness, but also the two countries’ friendship. Ambassador Del Vechio thanked the Polish president and the government for the support.
