The Republic of Croatia was admitted to ITF in 2005 in Krakow as its 25th member, and has since achieved significant success. After a visit by the ITF delegation to Zagreb and Jasenovac in October this year, the Museums and Memorials Working Group proposed Croatia a project on international cooperation between Holocaust museums, suggesting as the first institution the Jasenovac Memorial Museum and Area.

A special recognition of the Croatian delegation’s efforts came in the form of electing the representative of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, Alida Matković, as the 2010 chairperson of the ITF Education Working Group.

This year also saw the admittance of Spain as the 26th ITF member.
