On the second day of his visit to the Holy See, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković had an audience with the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI
After the general audience in St. Peter’s Square, before several tens of thousands of devotees from across the world and the Republic of Croatia, Minister Jandroković, his wife Sonja Jandroković, and members of the Croatian delegation were received by Pope Benedict XVI
On that occasion, Minister Jandroković thanked the Holy Father for everything he was doing for the Republic of Croatia, and he also invited the Holy Father to pay a visit to our country. Pope Benedict XVI thanked for the invitation saying that Croatia was always close to his heart and that he hoped to visit Croatia in the near future.
Minister Jandroković presented the Holy Father with a gift, agave lace made by the nuns from the Benedictine Convent on Hvar.
