On the occasion of the tragic death of Macedonia's President Boris Trajkovski, Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs Miomir Žužul expressed his condolences to Macedonian Foreign Minister Ilinka Mitreva, late President Trajkovski's family and families of his associates who got killed in the plane crash earlier today near the city of Stolac, South-East Bosnia
“Dear Minister, I am deeply shaken to receive the news about the tragic plane crash which claimed the lives of Macedonia’s President Boris Trajkovski and his associates who were with him on the plane. On behalf of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and myself, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to you, the President’s family and the families of his associates who were with on the plane,” reads Minister Žužul’s letter to Ilinka Mitreva, the Macedonian Foreign Minister.
President Boris Trajkovski was born 1965 in Strumica, Macedonia. He was elected as president in 1999, as Macedonia’s second president since it gained its independence. His mandate was supposed to end by fall this year and regular presidential elections were supposed to be held. Boris Trajkovski was married and had two children.
