Delivering a speech at the EU-CELAC Summit, First Deputy prime Minister and Foreign Minister Vesna Pusić said that the summit was a proof that “we are already working together, not just the political elite, but our citizens as well, the citizens of the EU and Latin America, which has not always been the case.”

We should work based on the same criteria, said Pusić, strengthen joint investment and efforts in science, environmental protection and human rights. Investing in IT transport and energy will not be successful if we simultaneously do not invest in education and the protection of human and minority rights, so that all persons could have equal opportunities regardless of their race, sex or religion.

The foreign ministers held a discussion themed “Working Together Towards Growth and Stability”.
