Mr. Tonino Picula, the Croatian Foreign Minister, received Mr. Čedomir Jovanović

On 11 June 2003, Mr. Tonino Picula, the Croatian Foreign Minister, received Mr. Čedomir Jovanović, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Serbia, to a courtesy visit, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia.

Minister Picula and Deputy Prime Minister Jovanović talked about bilateral relations between the two countries and about activities related to the Euro-Atlantic integration. They both welcomed the abolishment of visa regime for citizens of the Republic of Croatia and the temporary suspension of visa regime for citizens of Serbia and Montenegro.

Minister Picula expressed his expectation that unresolved issues between the two states will be dealt with more actively in the forthcoming months. He pleaded for the application of the Agreement on Transborder Traffic and for a more liberal border regime along the Danube river, and the departure of the Serbian and Montenegro army by the border.
